Yuliucun Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The named section is located in Yuliu Village, Lijiang County, Yunnan Province. P. Misch in 1947. Initially assigned to clay-rich strata in Lijiang between the Lower Triassic (Lugu Lake Formation = Luguhu Fm) and the Beiya Fm of the Middle Triassic, which is the early Middle Triassic. The 1st Area Survey Team of Yunnan Province (1966) named the above group as Beiya group. Wang Zunzhou et al. (1992) advocated continuing to use one member of the Yuliucun Fm, but reduced the range of rock stratigraphy of the Yuliucun Fm, and assigned the sand shale in the lower part of the original Yuliucun Fm to the underlying Lamei Fm. This Lexicon maintains the meaning of the Yuanyu Six Village Group.
